Rothang , Baralacha La open
September 13, 2009The sun has reappeared in Himachal after four days of continous rain and snowfall and ensuimg landslides and snowlocked passes. BRO has just announced that also the Baralacha La has been cleared for light vehicles , and should be open for trucks and buses soon. No word on the Kunzum La yet.
UPDATE, MONDAY : Baralacha La finally cleared from three feet of snow.
Waiting for more news on Kunzum La and the road situation from Tabo – Kalpa. Planning a road trip next week, roads conditions permitting.
Are the roads from manali to leh is clear now. I mean all the passes are thru and private taxis are running now?
I am planing to travel from manali to leh on 26th september around.
So wanted to confrim, are they permitting the private taxis to travel on this route?
Yes , light vehicles are running Manali-Leh. It could change again tomorrow.
